Michelle Pfeiffer was born on April 29, 1958 in Santa Ana, CA. Her father, Dick, was a heating and air conditioning contractor, and her mother, Donna, a housewife. Michelle is the second of four children, and has an older brother, Rick and two younger sisters, Dedee and Lori.

As a child, No one seemed to see her acting potential when she was young. She was a rebellious little girl, and by her own admissions, strong willed, stubborn and dramatic.

Although born in Santa Ana, the family soon moved to Midway City, where Michelle would graduate from Fountain Valley High School in 1976. She spent a year at Golden West College studying court reporting, and did a stint as a supermarket checker at Vons, a large Southern California grocery chain.

She had heard that talent scouts were often judges at beauty pagents, so she promptly entered, and won, the Miss Orange County beauty pagent of 1978. She lost the Miss Los Angeles title, but won the agent she had been seeking. Her first role was a one line walk on for the tv show "Fantasy Island". TV commercials and more bit parts would follow.

The public at large first took notice of Michelle in the 1982 film GREASE II, sequel to the 1978 mega-blockbuster GREASE. But with a weak script and lack of big names, the film quickly bombed. Agent Ed Limato, now the vice-chairman of ICM met Pfeiffer through another agent when both were with the William Morris Agency. Their meeting was brief, as Limato was on the phone at the time, and the two did little more than wave to one another. The following week a casting director told Limato that she was looking for a fresh face to play Al Pacino's drug-addicted wife in Brian DePalma's SCARFACE. He didn't represent Pfeiffer, but told the casting director he had just the actress she was looking for.

For the next few years she worked steadily, she starred in the offbeat comedy MARRIED TO THE MOB and received a best supporting actress Oscar nomination for the her portrayal of Madame De Tourvel in DANGEROUS LIAISONS. She followed that in 1989 with her second Oscar nomination, as best actress, for her work as lounge singer Suzie Diamond in THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS. (In 1992 she was nominated a third time for the little seen film LOVE FIELD.)

Michelle Pfeiffer has come a long way since working the supermarket check out lines in El Toro, California. But those days are still clear in her mind. "When I was a boxgirl, all I wanted was to be a checker," she recalls dreamily. "When I became a checker, the only other move was to be a store manager."

Kruger was born in Algermissen, near Hildesheim, Germany, and she started her career as a dancer in London when she was still young, but after an injury she changed her mind and went to Paris to become a model. She won Elite's 1992 "Look of the Year" at the age of 15. Kruger soon became interested in acting and took lessons at the Cours Florent. She landed some small appearances in several French movies. She then changed her last name for use with English-speaking audiences, to ease her move to a Hollywood career.

Kruger made her onscreen debut in 2002 opposite Dennis Hopper and Christopher Lambert in The Piano Player, a TV-movie by Jean-Pierre Roux. She played Julie Wood in 2003's Michel Vaillant and Lisa in Wicker Park (2004), alongside Josh Hartnett and Rose Byrne. Her most notable role to date is her portrayal of Helen in Wolfgang Petersen's epic Troy.


She was ranked #50 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2005.[1] In 2004, she starred with Nicholas Cage and Sean Bean (who co-starred with her in Troy) in the popular film National Treasure, going on to appear in movies such as Joyeux Noël (2005) and Copying Beethoven (2006). She will return for National Treasure: The Book of Secrets, playing the role of Abigail Chase. The movie will be released in December 2007. Kruger married French actor Guillaume Canet on September 1, 2001. They have since filed for divorce. She subsequently dated Canadian actor Joshua Jackson, but their relationship ended in March 2007.

The twenty-two year old actress is one of five children and has a twin brother who is also an actor. After enrolling in acting classes at age three, she quickly progressed on to theatre where she was soon discovered and at the age of eight, played opposite Ethan Hawke in the Off Broadway stage production of Sophistry.

With Paris Hilton’s debut CD hitting the shelves this fall, it looks like she’s finally succeeding at being famous for something other than being rich. Say hello to nineteen-year-old Anna Anisimov, New York’s first Russian-American princess.

Anna’s most recent exploit takes place at Denise Rich’s less-than-humble home in Southampton, which Anna sublet for the summer. The price tag for a few months of luxurious fun in the sun at Chez Rich? A whopping $550,000. She owes this pleasure to the bank account of her father, aluminum-business alumnus, Vassily Anisimov. Anisimov boasts a position as No. 67 on Forbes’s “Richest Russians” list, with an estimated net worth of $350 million.

Speaking of millions, Anna also recently bought design mogul Diane von Furstenberg’s townhouse for a cool $23 million, closing the deal with her son, whom she considers a friend. And don’t forget about her two-bedroom in the Time-Warner Center at Columbus Circle, with its modest price tag of $10 million.

These days, many Russian moguls, known as “The Ogligarchs”, are moving their families to safer locations than their homeland. And even though it didn't prove to be a US box office smash, it certainly made more than a few people take notice. It even prompted comments from such celebrities as Julia Roberts and David Letterman, who declared her "the biggest movie star in the world". Dave just might be on to something. Rai is becoming an international household name picking up movie deals, commercials, and endorsements from such brands as L'Oreal, DeBeers and Coca-Cola, placing her in the top elite of the acting crop.

Thinking she must have some negative "diva" traits, Pimpwiz went on an internet hunt to find some sign of her vanity, but to no avail, we came up short. So, she is either a saint or has a kick ass PR team - which is highly possible considering she is one of India's highest paid actresses. But the fact that she's very "real" seems to be a general consensus among the masses. HBO has always been the go-to for gratuitous sex, starlets, and scandal, so when "Entourage" exploded on the scene we weren't suprised. Mark Wahlberg first gave us this down and dirty docu/sitcom hybrid in 2004 we weren't suprised. Then we watched it sail through the next two seasons. Shout to Mr. Wahlberg, "Entourage" who about to launch the third season and will start its 20-episode run on June 11th.

Thus far, "Entourage" has introduced us to Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), an actor on the verge of stardom. and determined to take Hollywood by storm. Manager Eric (Kevin Connolly), half-brother Drama (Kevin Dillon), and best bud Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) are along for the ride and the free tickets to all of the hottest parties. At the break out star of the show our boy, Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) Vince's aggressive, high-powered agent, who clashes with Eric over his client's decisions. It's just a few shades away from a National Geographic special on Hollywood's most beautiful creatures, and a few more shades away from reality television. Think of "Entourage" as the American Dream for the under-thirty set. The posse takes down everything from Sundance to Playboy Mansion to star-studded dance-parties with youthful conviction, with fascinating (and occasionally disastrous) results.

Entourage has enjoyed its fair share of attention. Thus far in its relatively short run, the show was nominated for two Golden Globes in 2005 and three Emmys in 2006. Numerous stars have appeared on the show, including Debi Mazar, James Cameron, and Samaire Armstrong. Mandy Moore has even drifted through, playing herself, as a love interest for our man Vince.

With so many accolades already collected, what could be in store for the show's upcoming season? When we left Vince and his boys, life in LA was a little rocky but coming together. The posse was in danger of disbanding. Ari had just been fired from his agency. (The new season hints at marriage counseling and slightly less splendid digs.) While HBO remains secretive about what will unfold in the months to come, one thing is for sure: "Entourage" makes for an enduring, refreshingly entertaining hanger-on. Stay tuned... I have to admit, I was shocked to hear that the lovely Miss Nelly Furtado had just released a single called "Promiscuous”

After her squeaky-clean success with her first album “Whoa! Nelly”, had the singer gone the sad way of pop-tarts everywhere and turned up the sex factor to increase sales on her second album? I did what every adoring fan should: braced myself and watched the video, expecting the worst.

I was pleasantly surprised. "Promiscuous"”, extracted from Nelly’s upcoming album, “Loose”, is much more jamming out than slutting itup. Nelly and a host of other lovelies cavort on a crowded dance floor, more or less fully clothed. Granted, there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of bump and grind when it’s backed up with some solid musical prowess, and Nelly offers up the perfect combination. Her fascinations with hip-hop and African beats are plainly evident, with a dash of Portuguese feistiness thrown in for good measure. There are even a few famous faces in the dancing crowd, including Timbaland and Justin Timberlake.

Considering Nelly’s background, it’s difficult to expect anything less than greatness. She was raised in Victoria, Brisitsh Columbia, by musical parents and could play the ukulele and sing by the tender age of four. Over the next fourteen years, Nelly added more instruments and several bands to her resume, experimenting with different styles. She sites Portishead, U2, Ice-T, and TLC as part of her long list of influences, and glories in using diverse ethnic influences, including that of her Portuguese heritage, to create her unique sound. These days, the sexy mother of one seems to be swinging single, though she is quoted as saying that she considered dating (male singer) Nelly.

IF you recognize actress Jaclyn DeSantis, it’s because she played Marly on FOX’s ill-fated Luis Guzman-starring sitcom, “Luis.” She auditioned for the role but didn’t get the part until the night before shooting.

“The network offered the part to this girl, and I got it by fluke,” she admits. “Thank God that girl from Canada’s papers didn’t go through!” The L.A.-based actress, whose mother is Puerto Rican, was raised in Huntington, Long Island, and was taught to DJ by her Sicilian dad.
“He owned a night club and taught me when I was young,” she says.

DeSantis has been acting since she was five-years-old, along the way scoring minor roles in films like the campy “Road Trip” and on TV’s “Law and Order,” a launching pad for so many up-and-coming actors.

But her first starring role is in this month’s indie film “Bomb the System” (Palm Pictures), in which she plays a graffiti writer’s girlfriend. The gritty film, which chronicles a graffiti artist’s love for his illicit craft and the police’s efforts to thwart the spread of the aerosol art movement, has already made the rounds in the festival circuit.

Last year, it won awards for “Best Feature” at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival, “Best Director” at the HBO Urbanworld Film Festival and “Best First Feature” at the Independent Spirit Awards.

DeSantis also plays Carlito’s love interest in the much-hyped “Carlito’s Way: The Beginning,” which will be released this fall, but it’s “Bomb the System” that has her ecstatic.
