Team Canada's DJs Set The Gold Standard
DJs Grandtheft and D.R. One really hit it off when they started playing and promoting parties together, and realized that they offered much more as a team than individually. In 2004 the Canadian hockey fans decided on the name Team Canada for their DJ crew. Since coming together they've been securing residencies in clubs around the world with their two-pronged attack. Grandtheft's producing skills can't be matched, while D.R. One is one of the most well respected battle DJs from Canada.Whenever you bring up the name Team Canada to clubgoers who have seen the boys in action, you're likely to hear the word energy in response. These guys bring an incredible amount of energy to any party they play, whether it's a gig for 100 in their hometown of Montreal or an appearance in front of 10,000 people opening up for the Black Eyed Peas. You can't beat the wide-ranging record collection of Team Canada or the live remixes they throw down on a nightly basis.
The A-List gigs have been steady since Team Canada signed with DJ AM's management team last fall. In fact, Team Canada recently played at Paris Hilton's Birthday Party at Pure in Las Vegas. When they aren't gigging at the world's most famous venues, you can probably find them at their new club in Montreal, The Blue Dog Hotel.
Not content with their own success the boys recently branched out into artist management. They've recruited four of Canada's top club DJs (Jr. Flo from Toronto, Illo from Ottawa, Calgary's Pump and Vancouver's Hedspin) to form The Eh! Team. For more information on Team Canada and The Eh! Team be sure to check out their website.
The PimpWiz.com Bottom Line: We expect big things in 2008 from the DJ team of Grandtheft and D.R. One, aka Team Canada
