In case you didn’t already know it, saving the world is sexy. Just ask Angelina Jolie. But just because you aren’t exactly ready to adopt children from foreign countries doesn’t mean you can’t still help. And that’s exactly what President Clinton wants to help you do with his new project called My Commitment.

The main objective of the My Commitment project is to provide the resources needed to anyone to make a change in the their communities or in the world. The site goes hand in hand with a book written by Clinton called “Giving”, which is basically a collection of stories of how other people made a difference. These examples are one way that the website tries to inspire people to give back. But the site also has a database of volunteer opportunities, charity badges and lists of organizations and groups to make your charitable ventures just a little bit easier.

Probably the most inspiring thing on the website is the section where you can pledge exactly what you plan to or are doing to make a change. You can submit all the details of your commitment, as well as pictures and information about you, because no good deed should go without recognition. And the site also lets you search the database of commitments, so you can see what people in your community and other parts of the United States are doing to help.

So now, I have to ask, what’s your commitment? If you’re not motivated yet, head on over to www2.MyCommitment.org. Even if you simply plan to donate clothing or spend time with the elderly, it makes a difference. And chicks dig it too.

But that doesn't mean the designer, who is known for his opulent and over the top fashions, doesn't have anything in store when it come store menswear. With his lines Just Cavalli and the higher priced Roberto Cavalli, his men's line usually includes a lot of silky shirts and tight pants, which can range from $250 to well over $3000. But now Cavalli is teaming up with the ultra affordable and always in trend retailer H&M to bring luxury to the masses. And what he's doing so far just might surprise many of his long time fans.

For his women's line, Cavalli is sticking with his signature showy style with floor length leopard print gowns and beaded gold mini dresses. The up and coming line will keep your lady looking hot, and while outfitting you in something suave and debonair. And the ladies always love that. All of the previews for Roberto Cavalli's men's line for H&M include a lot of sleek tailoring, and surprisingly not many frills and not a silky patterns. So far pictures of seven looks from the collection have hit the net. This includes a navy suit with a two button blazer, a white button down with mandarin collar, two trench coat and my favorite, a navy suit with contrast trimming. And of course, no outfit is complete without accessories and this line will feature a pair of boots, dress shoes and skinny ties, which are one of the must have items for fall.

The prices for line start at $50 and go up as high as $349. In total there are supposed to be 20 pieces of menswear in the Roberto Cavalli collection, which leaves me wondering if he does plan to put men in anything casual or more daring. I guess we'll have to wait until November, when the line hit select H&M stores, to find out. Either way, Cavalli will have you looking sharp this fall, whether you're doing business or picking up your girl for a hot date.

Microsoft is reporting that sales for its much hyped game, Halo 3, generated $170 million during the first 20 hours of its release. Not only does this top the $125 million sales record set by Halo 2, but it also surpasses the opening-day US box office record of $59.8 million set by Sony's "Spider-Man 3" in May. In fact, Halo 3 made more money in 24 hours than Spider-Man 3 made during its three-day opening-weekend ($151 million).

So far, more than 1 million players have logged on the play the networked Xbox Live version of Halo 3.

The game is expected to give a huge boost to the Xbox 360. Lately, the runaway success of the Nintendo Wii has been a thorn in the side of both Microsoft and Sony.

Chances are you're looking at these pictures of these brunette twin bombshell, scratching your head and wondering where you've seen them before. Although you might not have known their names, Becky and Jessie O'Donohue have been making their way in the modeling and reality tv world for a few years now. The hotties x2 have been featured in Maxim, competed together on Fear Factor and separetly appeared in music videos for Hinder, as well as national commercials. And most notably, Becky was a contestant on Season 4 of American Idol. That's right, these girls are triple threats: they act, they model, and they sing.

The 27 year old twins hail from Dobbs Ferry, New York, and you can credit their Irish and Greek backgrounds for their good looks. But Becky and Jessie are beauties with brains. Oh, and they have game too. Both girls attended Niagra University and played four years of Division I basketball. Becky was the captain of that team and the all state volleyball team. She credits her 27 inch vertical leap as key to her success on the court.

Despite her athletic success, Becky didn't have the same luck when she competed on American Idol. Even though Jessie, who couldn't audition after throat surgery, was there every step of the way supporting her, Becky was cut the first week of the semi finals. Why viewers wouldn't vote for her is a question that may not ever be answered, but it just might have been because the female audience couldn't handle her smokin' good looks. But Becky took her elimination in stride and told Reality TV magazine, "I wouldn’t want to speculate and say that it had to do with my appearance. It wouldn’t be fair for me to do that." Gotta love a girl with class.

Getting the axe on idol didn't stop the twins in their quest for fame. Becky and Jessie O'Donahue can both be seen in the latest Adam Sandler comedy "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", and they caused quite a stir when they walked the red carpet together and the films premiere. Be sure to keep an eye out for these two, we're bound to see much more of them in the future. And I'm sure that's nothing anyone will complain about!

The FBI had an opening for an assassin. After all the background
checks, interviews and testing were done, there were 3 finalists. Two
men and a woman।For the final test, the FBI agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun। "We must know that you will follow your instructions no matter what the circumstances। Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair॥ Kill Her!!"

The man said, "You can't be serious. I could never shoot my wife." The
agent said, "Then you're not the right man for this job. Take your
wife and go home."

The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and
went into the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes. The man came
out with tears in his eyes, " I tried, but I can't kill my wife."

Finally, it was the woman's turn. She was given the same instruction,
to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the room. Shots
were heard, one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging
on the walls

After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there
stood the woman, wiping the sweat from her brow. "The gun is loaded

The 3rd and final edition in the Halo video game trilogy got released Monday night at midnight. Microsoft expects to sell an estimated 4 million copies of Halo 3 (read MethodShop.com review) in the U.S. during the next 30 days according to Gamesindustry.biz. Think 4 million seems a lot for a video game? Keep in mind that "Halo" (2001) and "Halo 2" (2004) sold 14.5 million copies worldwide.

But because there is so much anticipation and hype around Halo 3, corporate employers and school systems are fearing that their staff and students will spontaneously be calling in sick this week.



Here are a couple quotes I found on USA Today.com:

"I've already talked to my teachers and got my assignments for Tuesday. I don't plan on going to class," says Dane Mitchell, 20, a Cincinnati State and Community College sophomore. "I'm going to pick up the game at midnight from GameStop, go to a friend's house, and play it for 36 hours," he says.

Like Mitchell, Neil Godwin, 21, of Milford, Ohio, reserved his copy more than a year ago. He's taking a vacation day Tuesday from his job as a Kroger computer help desk analyst to play Halo 3 all day with his brother.

Corporate sponsors are also helping fuel the hype around Halo 3. Even if the last video game you played was Pong in the 1980's, Microsoft still wants you to know about Halo 3. Everyone from Burger King, NASCAR, Pontiac and even Mountain Dew have promotional deals with Microsoft for Halo 3 that rival such theatrical franchises as Harry Potter. Last night I even saw a 'limited edition' Halo 3 Mountain Dew 12-pack labeled as "Game Fuel." I guess there's probably enough sugar and caffeine in a 12-pack of Mountain Dew to even keep a Polar Bear up all night.



Beyond the corporate sponsors, promotional advertising blitz and the Internet buzz, Halo 3 is special to gamers because it's the final chapter in the Halo series. It's the last time fans will get to see their beloved Master Chief in action. Halo 3 is equivalent of how important "Return of the Jedi" or "The Return of the King" was Star Wars and Lord of the Rings fans. It's the end of a saga.

According to NPR:
Google is putting up $30 million dollars to sponsor a new contest. To win the grand prize, you have to put a privately funded robotic rover on the moon.

You can get bonus prizes if your rover discovers ice or takes photos of human artifacts, like equipment left by the Apollo astronauts.

Peter Diamandis runs the X PRIZE Foundation. It tries to spur the development of new technology by putting up big cash prizes.

A few years ago, it offered the $10 million Ansari X PRIZE for the first privately funded spaceflight. SpaceShipOne, a white vehicle painted with blue stars, made two brief trips to space and back — and won the prize.

"And after that, we were looking to see where do we go next," Diamandis says. "And in the space realm, what was clear to us was, really were two objectives: One is an orbital X PRIZE and the second was a lunar X PRIZE."

Diamandis decided to first aim for the moon and he got Google to put up the prize money.

"To win the Google Lunar X PRIZE, a team has to build, design, launch and then soft-land on the moon a robotic rover, and then be able to rove — to maneuver around — for about a half a kilometer, 500 meters," Diamandis explains.

There are other requirements, too. Like, the rover has to do a mooncast, sending back images to Earth.

There's a $20 million grand prize. Second prize is worth $5 million, and there's $5 million in bonus prizes for things like getting your rover to survive a frigid lunar night.

But if you want to go for it, you'd better act fast — Diamandis says it all has to happen before Dec. 31, 2014.

"I have very little doubt that it will happen," he says. "I think that we will have a winner within four years."

Executives at Google seem to agree.

"We're optimistic that we will have a lunar landing by the time this prize is done," says Sergey Brin, Google's co-founder, in a video prepared for Thursday's announcement at Wired Magazine's NextFest held in Los Angeles.

And expect to see a few familiar faces, like ex Alias star Michael Vartan, playing the resident good guy, and Dylan McDermott as the group ringleader.

The Bionic Woman
Yes, the show is about a woman. But more correctly, a hot woman kicking butt in tight clothing. Do I have your interest now? British beauty Michelle Ryan is bringing her sexy accent and awesome acting chops to NBC this fall. The Bionic Woman is a "reimagined" version of the 70s TV show of the same name. This time it chronicles a young woman who only lives through a car accident because her boyfriend chose to have parts of her body replaced with robotic parts. This gives her bionic strength, but also a debt to pay with the owners of the technology. Expect some pretty cool looking effects and even girl on girl fighting action.

Okay, how about something funny to lightening things up a little? Chuck is actually a comedic spy thriller, so you'll get your laughs and a dose of action all wrapped up in to one. The show is about a computer geek who accidently downloads top secret government information into his brain. I'm sure that will make more sense when the pilot actualy airs! But the important part is that Chuck must now dodge assasins and terrorist, along side his CIA partner, played by blonde hottie Yvonne Strzechowski. And look for another hottie, ex OC star Rachel Bilson, to join the cast later on in the season.

It was a battle royale of rap royalty on the charts last week as Kanye West dropped his new album "Graduation" on the same day as 50 Cent's new joint, "Curtis". And these two made sure everyone knew about their rivalry, by getting up in each others faces on the cover of Rolling Stone and on the MTV Movie Awards. Without a doubt, all the ruckus they made about their rivalry helped sales for both of them. But ultimately it was Kanye who came out the champ, moving 957,000 units in just one week! Not only did this crush 50's 691k finish, it also set a record for the highest debut sales in two years.

Hopefully this will soothe Kanye's ego; the man has been complaining non stop recently about being snubbed for performances and awards by MTV. But it's 50 who we should be worrying the most about, especially since he threatened to quit the business if outsold by Kanye. He also told MTV, "I feel like Kanye West is successful because of me. After 50 Cent, [hip-hop fans] was looking for something non-confrontational, and they went after first thing that came along. That was Kanye West, and his record took off." Did 50 forsee his future? I think so, beause this all sounds like hype and excuses to me.

So, Kanye has won the battle for now, but will he win the war? Most likely, but who knows what kind of tricks 50 cent might pull out of his sleeve.

A taxi cab caught fire in Midtown Manhattan Tuesday afternoon, sending flames shooting into the air above bustling Rockefeller Center. You can see a WNBC slide show of the midtown taxi inferno here.


It's unclear how the cab caught fire and exploded, but we do know that there were several NBC employees on the scene snapping photos including Consumer Reporter Asa Aarons, Government Affairs Reporter Melissa Russo and NBC Agency employee Jon Accarrino!

It's unclear if anyone was injured.

Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, has confirmed that there is a 3G iPhone in the works and it should be ready by 2008. Jobs made the following statement at the "Mum is no longer the word" press conference at the Regent Street Apple store in London this week:

"You can expect a 3G iPhone later next year... We are working on the next iPhone already, the one after that and the one after that."

The news comes as a 2G EDGE-enabled iPhone will be available in the UK on November 9th. When asked why the current model didn't have 3G, Jobs blamed power issues saying that the 3G chipset would be too much of a drain on the unit's battery life which promises 8 hours of call time, but said that future models would have the technology.

At 5ft 8 1/2 inches tall Jason Statham might not tower over his counterparts, but chances are he could take them down before they even knew what hit them. In a world where Hollywood seems to prefer more delicate actors like Orlando Bloom, Jason Statham is the man's actor. He first rose to fame in the high octane action move The Transporter and it's sequel. Don't expect to see any fluffy romantic comedies on his filmography; just about every film he's done has fast cars, explosions and taking down the bad the guys.

The 35 year old English actor actually got his start as a model when he was spotted by an agent while training at the Crystal Palace National Sports Center in London. His first film role, in the Guy Richie's indie classic "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", was the result of a connection he made while working for clothing label French Connection. In addition to the Transporter films, Stantham had a leading role in the action movie Crank where he played a hit man who can only stay alive by keeping up his adrenaline.

As for his personal life, Statham manages to keep most of it out of the public eye. He has however dated babes like bikini model Kelly Brook and singer Sophie Monk.

It's almost hard to believe that any actor has done over twenty films in under ten years and made a name for himself in such a short time, but Jason Statham can proudly say he has. His most current flick is the movie War, co-starring another actor who will drop kick you into next Wednesday, Jet Li. And you can bet Jason is doing all of his own stunts in these movies; he has a background in martial arts. Up next, you can see him in The Bank Job and Death Race, hitting theaters next year, and the sequel to The Italian Job, which will be released in 2009. Despite what the critics may say about about his flashy action flicks, Jason stays true to his own brand of art, saying "You ain't ever gonna get an Academy Award for doing Crank and you certainly won't for doing all the other movies I've done." Gotta love the guy for keeping it real!

His latest business venture is the new fragrance Unforgivable Woman. Diddy definitely isn't shy when it comes to sexy advertisement; the print ads for his first fragrance, Unforgivable for men, showed him getting close to not one but two scantily clad models.

In Diddy's new TV spot for Unforgivable Woman he limits himself to just one girl, but it's what he does with this girl that has caused MTV to deem the commercial too hot for TV! And the banned video certainly is hot. Think three minutes of T&A with Diddy eyeing the girl in the club and taking her on in the bedroom. But that's not before the two have a little tryst in a stair well.



It's really amazing that MTV, a station that shows music videos with plenty of simulated sex on a daily basis, would command Diddy to edit this ad. But in return, any time anything is censored or banned it causes an even bigger media buzz, which was probably a part of his plan to begin with. They don't call him a mogul for nothing, folks.

Do you have an iPod that is unresponsive? Occasionally an iPod may freeze or fail to respond to your commands. There are a few things you can do to troubleshoot this.

Here's an email from a MethodShop.com reader about an unresponsive iPod:

"I'm using a 40GB click-wheel iPod in Windows 2k. It is unable to fully boot up. When I turn it on, the Apple symbol comes up and the hard drive sounds like it begins to spin, and then it stops. Occasionally it gets to the folder w/exclamation point screen and then the hard drives stops and then starts again, going back to the apple screen. The iPod update application either doesn't detect the iPod or it freezes my whole computer. I have tried resetting, and since Windows/iPod update don't detect it, I can't restore either (even in disk mode). I have been unable to get the disk scan working." ~ dan

You most likely dropped your iPod or hit it pretty hard. This happened to a friend of mine (Bill) when he threw his backpack on the floor. His iPod was inside the backpack and the jolt from hitting the floor physically damaged the iPod's hard drive.

Unfortunately, if your hard drive is physically damaged, there's only one way to fix it - get it replaced. If your iPod is still under warranty or you purchased extended AppleCare for your iPod, then have Apple replace or repair your iPod. If your iPod is out of warranty, there are several third-party companies that can fix your iPod like these guys.

If you were watching any of the American football games this past Sunday, then you probably saw the new 3rd generation iPod Nano commercial. The ad features the upbeat and catchy song "1234" by Canadian singer/songwriter Leslie Feist.

A tearful Britney Spears fan named Chris Crocker posted a passionate video called Leave Britney Alone! on YouTube after the pop star's disastrous MTV Awards performance. Crocker's video has become an instant YouTube hit and has gotten about 4 million views.

In it, Crocker defends Britney's widely-criticized performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, in which the troubled pop star appeared out of time and out of shape while miming the words to her new song "Gimme More." It reminded me of Ashlee Simpson's SNL un-synced disaster.



Crocker berates the media for their treatment of Britney since the awards show and says fans should be thankful she decided to perform. Here's a transcript of his rant:

"How f**king dare anyone out there make fun of Britney after all she's been through. She went through a divorce, she had two kids ... and now she's going through a custody battle. All you people care about is readers and making money off of her.

She's a human. She hasn't performed on stage in years. Her song is called Gimme More for a reason - because all you people want is more, more, more, more, more ... leave her alone. You're lucky she even performed for you bastards. Leave Britney alone ... please."

Crocker, who has posted other YouTube videos about Britney Spears, said on the Howard Stern radio show yesterday that he was "not acting" and was "really crying."

Thirty years ago, Thurman Roberts, Sr. and his wife Hisako T. Roberts started the Salt Lick Restaurant on the ranch where he was born. The stones of the building were quarried from that same ranch. Everything was done by them with their own hands; building and cooking with care and love, a pride in quality, and a job done right.

Family reunions provided them the opportunity to gather and share family BBQ recipes that had been handed down from generation to generation since the Civil War. Their meals were such a success, friends encouraged them to start their own restaurant. Opened for business in 1969, the Salt Lick has become world-renowned.

Since then, the Salt Lick has grown in size and scope. The restaurant facilities have been expanded. Rooms have been added to accommodate various functions. The Pavilion has been added just down the road so that many couples have started their married lives together with us. When the City of Austin built it's new Austin Bergstrom International Airport, The Salt Lick was one of the few restaurants picked to represent what Austin dining is to the rest of the world. They began our mail order catalog to share the joy of Texas barbecue with the rest of the country.

Good news for Tron fans. According to the Hollywood Reporter, commercial director Joseph Kosinski is in final negotiations to direct a sequel to the 1982 cult movie classic. Steven Lisberger, who co-wrote and directed the original film, has signed on as a producer.

Kosinski, who last month signed on to the remake of "Logan's Run" for Warner Brothers, will oversee the visual development of the project and have input on the script, which is being written by "Lost" scribes Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Story details are being kept secret.

In case you didn't see the original film or have forgotten the plot (after all it's 25 years-old now), Tron was about a computer programmer who gets sucked into a virtual world and forced to fight in his own video games. In 1982, the special effects used in Tron were groundbreaking. It was the first movie to use computer generated images (CGI) in conjunction with live action. Sources also say that visual effects personnel, for many of whom Tron was an inspiration to enter the business, are already are jockeying to work on the film.

Before Disney green lighted Lisberger to make the original film, he had to shot a test reel, financed by the studio, of the deadly Frisbee battle. It looks like Kosinski will have to do the same thing, but this time the studio wants to see a test sequence involving the movie's Light Cycles. I can see why. The arcade game based on the Light Cycle scene was so popular in the early 1980's that it earned more money than the movie.
