Ask Sir Monty Montague

“Dear Sir Monty,
I face the horns of a dilemma. I have recently met two women – a minor but wealthy princess from good breeding and a stunning supermodel. No problem there. However in polite company the princess could be described as having a “nice personality.” While the supermodel has all the beauty of a porcelain doll but is equally vacuous. Therein lies my problem, Sir Monty – ugly princess or dumb supermodel?

Dear reader,
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Take the hand of the one who is worth more and save the second for the bush, if you understand what I mean.

Sir Monty Montague.

Confederate Motorcycles - Hate the Name, Love The Bikes

"Confederate Motor Company's unique design aesthetic adheres to the industrial elegance of the Bauhaus and a deep history of Southern ingenuity that includes the invention of the first submarine the C.S.S. Hunley, the LeMat double barrel pistol, Jazz, and Rock n' Roll.

The fastest and most luxurious American radial-twin motorcycles ever made, each machine is entirely crafted by hand to showcase evolved individual craftsmanship.

Devoid of ornamentation, the minimalism of each machine illuminates the stark and elegant beauty of uncompromised American heirloom quality.

After 11 years of testing and refining their proprietary chassis and power train mounting system, they began the arduous task of designing the second generation Hellcat. The F124 Hellcat incorporated everything they had learned about high performance American motorcycles. With the addition of evolutionary technological advances, the bike was even lighter and faster. The legendary handling was vastly improved and rear wheel power greatly increased. Their newest motorcycle delivered the most controlled ride in the industry. The F124 Hellcat was the best machine they have ever created." [Via confederate.com]

Paris Hilton plans reggae, hip hop album

"HONG KONG - Paris Hilton says her upcoming album will be a mix of reggae, pop and hip-hop, with the first single being a reggae song called "Stars Are Blind."

Hilton will also do a remake of the Rod Stewart song "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?," she was quoted as saying in the June issue of Hong Kong magazine Prestige.

"The whole album has so much different music on it. I like all music. It's not like I only like pop or only rock. I want to have something for everybody," Hilton said." [Via yahoo.com]

The PimpWiz.com Bottom Line: This is going to get real ugly. We heard the leaked version of one of her track,"Turn You on" and it makes William Hung sound like Al Green. We amost puked in our mouths just thinking about it.

Oh and Scott Storch, don't think we didn't hear that you are producing this. We are praying to it's just a terrible rumor.

PimpWiz can report exclusivly that sources close to Brooke Hogan (Hulk Hogan's daughter) have confirmed that Storch will be producing her new music project.

No, seriously we aren't joking. We love your tracks but man we got to put you on blast for this one. How do you go from "The Roots" to this...

About Scott Storch
Scott Spencer Storch (born December 16, 1973) is a keyboardist, songwriter, and hip hop producer. A former member of and keyboardist for alternative hip hop band The Roots, Storch went on to produce and co-produce hit records for a number of artists, including Chamillionaire ("Turn it Up"), Justin Timberlake ("Cry Me a River", with Timbaland), the #1 hit "Lean Back" by The Terror Squad, the #1 hit "Candy Shop" by rapper 50 Cent, the #1 hit "Let Me Love You" by Mario, and the #1 hit "Run It" by Chris Brown. He also produced various tracks ("Can't Hold Us Down" feat. Lil' Kim, "Walk Away," "Fighter," "Underappreciated," "Infatuation") off of Christina Aguilera's 2002 album Stripped and Beyonce's Dangerously In Love ("Baby Boy" feat Sean Paul, "Me Myself and I", "Naughty Girl").

He has worked closely with Dr. Dre and is credited for doing much of the piano and keyboard riffs on many Dr. Dre-produced tracks since 1999, including "Still D.R.E.," the hit lead single from 2001. He is the main hand behind Paris Hilton's upcoming debut album, and is working for songs by Ice Cube, Kelis, Zay, Method Man, Teairra Mari, and Jessica Simpson. According to the New York Times, his going rate for producing a track is around $80,000-$90,000. (Via Wikipedia.com)

MV AGUSTA F4 1000 Tamburini

"Only 300 examples of the F4-TAMBURINI will be produced worldwide. As with all other special-edition MV Agusta model, the F4-TAMBURINI will only be produced once and will not be repeated.

This limited edition model has sold out and is no longer available.

The heart of the F4 1000 TAMBURINI's performance is the revolutionary TSS system (Torque Shift System) based on the concept of variable intake geometry. This is an absolute first in motorcycling history and is the first time such an innovation has been fitted to a mass-produced motorcycle.

The cockpit of the F4 Tamburini is embellished with special treatment to the upper steering head, where an 18K gold plaque bearing the name of the model and the serial number is positioned.

The F4 Tamburini features the most esoteric equipment that can be offered on a production motorbike. The front end is dominated by Marzocchi forks with titanium nitride treated 50mm fork legs inserted into a billet aluminum base. These carry the new Nissin Racing single block 6-piston calipers. The Marchesini wheels are inspired by the same design as used on Grand Prix machines. They are extremely lightweight and strong, and boast lower gyroscopic inertia that increases ease of handling and potential cornering speed.

"Motorcycles make us dream. They have different colors, they have different sounds. They have shapes that sometimes show what inspired their designers. Sometimes these creations are real works of art that turn the designer into an artist. This is the case with Massimo Tamburini, a design engineer who has revolutionized the concepts of sports motorcycles by raising them to new limits of performance and granting them unparalleled beauty. To pay tribute to this unique individual, I wanted his latest creation to be called after him with a limited production edition with very specific features. This machine has that look that all motorcyclists love along with the mechanical sophistication that they have always dreamed of. It has the heart of a racing bike yet all the glamour of an individual work of art. It has all of our history and passion in its soul." - Claudio Castiglioni." [Via mvagustausa.com]

"100 Great Businesses & The Minds Behind Them" - By, Angus Holland, Emily Ross

"The typical business success story starts like this: Mr X has a brilliant idea in the bath one morning. He calls a friend, and together they build the invention in the garage. Then they go out and sell it from the back of Mr X’s car, and before they know it, they are both millionaires.

We like these stories because they make us think we could easily do the same thing. All we need is that great idea, right? Miracles do happen. Nike’s Phil Knight did start out selling running shoes from the back of his car. Pierre Omidyar did just happen to have an idea for an Internet site—eBay—that made him a billionaire several times over. James Dyson became one of Britain’s richest men after inventing a new kind of vacuum cleaner in his shed.

But these fairy tales tend to skip over the details, the parts of the story where, for example, Dyson had to build 5,127 vacuum cleaner prototypes before he actually got the thing to work properly, where FedEx founder Fred Smith nearly went broke several times over in the early years, and why Debbi Fields of Mrs. Fields Cookies fame now has little to do with the company that bears her name. Having a great idea is the easy part. As the one hundred businesses in this book all demonstrate, the real talent lies in knowing what to do next: how to finance and build the product, when and how to market it, and—most importantly—how to persist with it and continue to believe in it through the inevitable difficult times. Like Lonnie Johnson, the rocket scientist who had to spend eight years knocking on doors before somebody agreed to build his invention, the Super Soaker water gun. The book covers a range of companies, from recent startups to firms over one hundred years old, from the origins of Corn Flakes to the birth of satellite radio; the genius of MTV to the Red Bull energy drink phenomenon; from the Walkman to the Nike sneaker. What they all have in common is a talent for innovation, which can take many forms: inventing a whole new product, taking somebody else’s idea and making it work better, or simply taking over the market by selling products cheaper than anybody else—take a bow, Samuel Walton.

There’s the story of the home recipe for Liquid Paper that turned into a global company, why one of the world’s richest men (with a $40 billion fortune) still drives a non-descript

Volvo, and how the fortuitous purchase of a nude picture of Marilyn Monroe kick-started the biggest-selling men’s magazine in the world. This book is about the brains behind the Barbie doll, about the woman who started Weight Watchers because, she recalled, “even her poodle was fat,” those clever girls that created the Juicy Couture tracksuit, and the man that reinvented the circus and became a billionaire in the process.

There are the businesses you might have seen down at the mall, such as Build-A-Bear Workshop and Dippin’ Dots ice cream, and wondered, where did they get the idea for that?

We came across companies that created their own communities, such as Pierre Omidyar’s eBay, which now has a population larger than Britain’s, and Craigslist, which grew from an email bulletin to a few friends into the world’s biggest free listing service. If nothing else, reading through the one hundred profiles here demonstrates that there is no single path to becoming an entrepreneur and no single type of successful business. Nor is there a “correct” way to make a business work. Each entrepreneur has their own set of circumstances, their own personality, quirks, and survival skills. They develop their own leadership style to suit their circumstances to learn to succeed. When opportunity knocks, they listen. The simple truth is that there are as many ways to succeed in business as there are great businesses. Here's 100 of them by Emily Ross & Angus Holland." [Via thecoolhunter.net]

The Weinsteins buy a piece of aSmallWorld.net

The world's only exclusive social network, aSmallWorld has announced that they have just completed a minority stake investment by The Weinstein Company, founded by Harvey Weinstein and his brother Bob as a multimedia company last year.

Of all potential strategic and financial partners, the Weinstein Company will mostly likely deliver a uniquely powerful package to aSmallWorld. The consummate networkers, Harvey and Bob bring not only a vast network of relationships and experiences, but a vision for business-building.

In 1979, Harvey and Bob founded Miramax Films, which released some of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful independent feature films, including The Aviator, Finding Neverland, Chicago, Gangs of New York, In the Bedroom, Chocolat, The Cider House Rules, Shakespeare In Love, Life Is Beautiful (La Vita É Bella), Good Will Hunting, The English Patient, Il Postino (The Postman), Pulp Fiction, The Piano, The Crying Game, and My Left Foot. In its history, Miramax has received 249 Academy Award nominations, including 16 for best picture, and has won 60 Academy Awards.

Named after their parents, Miriam and Max, who introduced Harvey and Bob to a love of cinema, Miramax was established on the principal that the company could take European films and films with difficult subject matter and market them in an innovative and successful way. Willing to take risks, the Weinstein’s have utilized specialized marketing and distribution strategies, individually tailoring each film’s release to suit its particular strengths.

Harvey and Bob’s personal involvement and excitement will ensure an interesting future for aSmallWorld. With their record of harnessing great work from top talent and developing extraordinary projects without compromising on quality, their efforts will contribute greatly to make aSmallWorld the ultimate trusted, intimate, and exceptional place online, as well as helping them make the world even smaller both online and offline. Apple MacBook Pro 15.4" Notebook PC

"Powered by a dual-core Intel engine. Up to four times the speed of the PowerBook G4. Eight times the graphics bandwidth. With built-in iSight for instant video conferencing on the move. And Front Row with Apple Remote to dazzle everyone in the room. Wait no more.

You've seen improvements in notebook performance before - but never on this scale. The Intel Core Duo powering MacBook Pro is actually two processors built into a single chip. This, combined with myriad other engineering leaps, boosts performance up to four times higher than the PowerBook G4. With this awesome power, it's a breeze to render complex 3D models, enjoy smooth playback of HD video, or host a four-way video conference.Intel Core Duo is the first chip built using Intel's groundbreaking 65-nanometer process - resulting in transistors so small, you could fit a hundred inside a single human cell. With smaller distances for electrons to travel, and two processors designed to share resources and conserve power, Intel Core Duo achieves higher levels of performance as it uses fewer watts. Which is what makes it possible to design a super-powerful MacBook Pro that's only one inch thin. When Mac technology makes something easy, it's hardly news. So here's more non-news for MacBook Pro owners: software just works. If you see the Universal logo on a new application, that means it will run on Intel- and PowerPC-based Mac computers.

Embedded reporter
Sit down. Click on someone's iChat icon. And video conference from anywhere in the world. Though you can barely see it, there's an iSight camera built into the thin bezel just above the display. So now you can conference with associates during the day and chat with the kids at night. iChat AV lets you video chat with up to three other people simultaneously. And when you go head to head, you'll see your colleague more clearly, thanks to the VGA resolution made possible by the superfast Intel Core Duo." [Via apple.com]

Rocket Launch Ringtones

The rocket scientists over ReallyRocketScience.com have come up with a clever way to promote their blog - free rocket launch ringtones. They combined a launch "countdown" with actual audio of an Atlas rocket liftoff and converted it into a mobile phone ringtone.

In case you are curious, the countdown heard in the ringtone wasn't recorded live. There were too many other voices and static to get a clean recording at the time. So while in the studio for the ASTRA 1KR launch last month, Don "The Voice of Atlas" Spencer sat down and recorded a clean countdown for the ringtone, which was later combined with actual liftoff audio.

The ringtone is actually pretty funny. The next time your cell phone rings, you'll feel like you only have 10 seconds to get it before it launches into voicemail.

You can get your free rocket launch ringtones at ReallyRocketScience.com.

Christopher Walken: The Man, The Myth, The Legend, The “King of New York"

You know him as the girlfriend stealing wealthy record-label villain in Wayne’s World (1993), and as the saddened yet emotional father of Leonardo DiCaprio in the thriller, Catch Me If You Can (2002). But Ronald Walken, known to most by his nickname “Chris”, is much more than an Oscar winning actor (The Deer Hunter) with striking features and fair as can be complexion. Christopher Walken is a creative and dynamic man whose life has been filled with challenges and victories, and along the way has proven himself to be a profound and intriguing luminary.

Walken’s most controversial role was in the 1990 film King of New York, a Robin Hood-like story in which Walken plays the part of Frank White, a drug lord who was just released from prison. White returns to New York City to regain power and control of the illegal drug trade and uses the profits to work against poverty. The phenomenal cast also includes Laurence Fishburne, David Caruso, Wesley Snipes, Steve Buscemi, and other well-known stars.

The film premiered at the New York Film Festival and immediately received both positive and extremely negative reviews. While Roger Ebert loved it, many audience members walked out of the screening and the film had to be edited in order for it not to be considered X-rated. Before it was pulled from theatres, the film only made $2 million, but has acclaimed cult film status, especially with gansta rap fans, ever since. Many rappers began making references to the film in their music, including Jadakiss and The Notorious B.I.G. who referred to himself as “the black Frank White” on his Ready to Die album. The film was re-released on DVD in 2004 and director, Abel Ferrara, has no plans of backing down. He is working on making the prequel to movie based on the rise of Frank White before he was arrested.

Walken got his start acting and dancing at Hofstra University & ANTA where he received a Theatre World award for his role in the revival of "The Rose Tattoo", a play by Tennessee Williams. Soon after, he got his film debut in Me and My Brother in 1969, and continued in the next several years to get parts in credible productions alongside notable actors such as Sean Connery (The Anderson Tapes) and Diane Keaton (Annie Hall).

The Deer Hunter won him Best Supporting Actor in 1978 and won him the hearts of fans and critics alike. In the early 1980’s Walken played the role of villains in films by Stephen King (The Dead Zone) and other dark and sinister movies. With popular parts in recent years such as America’s Sweehearts (2001) and Joe Dirt (2001), Walken has a younger fan base and remains at the top of his acting game with no yield signs ahead.

Strange, but true, facts about Walken:
Jerry Lewis influenced Walken to make show business his career.

Was George Lucas's second choice for the role of Han Solo in Star Wars (1977)

Worked briefly as a lion tamer in a circus at age 15.

Was assaulted in a street in New York in 1980 when he asked two men to turn down their music. His nose was broken in the incident.

Was robbed at the airport in Venice and his The Prophecy II (1998) (V) script, glasses, keys, drivers license, and $100 were stolen.

Was on Natalie Wood's yacht the night she drowned.

Member of "Saturday Night Live" (1975)'s prestigious "Five Timers Club".

Has different-colored eyes (one blue and one hazel). This is a condition known as heterochromia.

Hotel De Cap/Eden Roc - Cash Only!

"Sure, this French Riviera dual estate hotel is fastidiously cash-only and barely lifts a furry French eyebrow at it's 800 dollars-a-night starting rate - pennies, just pennies. However, if you have just won the lotto or you are a a A-List celeb (this is the spot where Cameron Diaz angered Justin by drunkinly flirting with some little known director at a Cannes after-party), do not let this minor inconvenience prevent you from enjoying one of the most unbelievable spectacles of timeless elegance. Plus, they do now allow wire transfers so those offshore accounts should come in handy. To say its like being in a movie trivializes the refined opulence and breathtaking scenery - its more like being in your own romantic daydream.

To play tennis at the Hotel du Cap's courts nestled amid beautifully manicured rose gardens and towering palm trees is competitively sublime with sipping one of their famed bellinis on the magnificent porch overlooking a sloping view down a pebbled lane that leads right to the Mediterranean. In a land where service is seemingly on a different scale - that no tip thing hurting incentive and all - Eden Roc boasts one of the best concierges in Europe. While this hotel is certainly a playground for the wealthy and their wealthier friends there's no policy, attitude nor disadvantage that should prevent us normal folks from splurging and partaking in the decadence of this rare gem." Live the Life of Genghis Khan - Blue Fish Concierge

"Throughout history there have been many leaders. While a quick briefing on world history reminds us that many impacted the modern world greatly, common knowledge assures us that few did it by being diplomatic or easily swayed. In fact, when it comes to conquering lands and building empires, it the greatly feared warriors, who ruled as aggressively as they fought - who are credited for the beginnings of united civilizations. One of the greatest of these warriors being Genghis Khan.

BlueFish offers you the rare opportunity to travel back to the rugged times of the Mongolians during their period of greatest conquers, and train as did the Mongolian Warriors as they prepared for a lifetime of battle. Gallop the plains of Mongolia as you shoot the arrow from your bow. Integrate with the unchanged nomadic customs of the indigenous tribes. Live the life of Khan then return to work Monday morning.

Please note Bluefish claims no responsibility for the slightly more aggressive approach to handling your colleagues that you may possess upon return." [Via thebluefish.com]

About Blue Fish Experiences:
When we first started out, our goal was to help our clients have fun and recognize their dreams. At that time, we had no idea that our simple concept would result in submarine voyages to see the Titanic and MIG flights over Moscow. But as our clients began requesting unique experiences, we stretched our imagination, utilized our resources and developed one-of-a-kind adventures to meet their demands.

About Genghis Khan:

Genghis Khan (c. 1162[1]–August 18, 1227) was the founder of the Mongol Empire (Их Монгол Улс), (1206–1368), the largest contiguous empire in world history. Original name being Temüjin , he united the Mongol tribes and forged a powerful army based on meritocracy, to become one of the most successful military leaders in history.

While his image in the West and in most of the Middle East is that of a ruthless bloodthirsty conqueror, Genghis Khan is celebrated as a hero in Mongolia, where he is seen as the father of the Mongol Nation. Before becoming a Khan, Temüjin united the many Turkic-Mongol confederations of Central Asia, giving a common identity to what had previously been a territory of nomadic tribes.

Starting with the conquest of Western Xia in northern China and consolidating through numerous conquests including the Khwarezmid Empire in Persia, Genghis Khan laid the foundation for an empire that was to leave an indelible mark on world history. Several centuries of Mongol rule across the Eurasian landmass, a period that some refer to as 'Pax Mongolica', radically altered the demography and geopolitics of these areas. Aston Martin Lagonda - Old School Ride

"The Aston Martin Lagonda was a luxury four-door saloon built by Aston Martin of Newport Pagnell, England, between 1976 and 1989.

Aston Martin was about to go out of business in the mid-1970s and needed something to bring in some much needed funds. Traditionally, Aston Martin had worked on 2+2 sports cars, but the Aston Martin Lagonda was a four-door saloon car with a brand new Aston Martin V8 engine. As soon as it was introduced, it received hundreds of deposits from potential customers, helping Aston Martin's chances.

The car was designed by William Towns in the classic 1970s "folded paper" style. It was as unconventional a design then as it is now. Car enthusiasts are fiercely divided on the car's æsthetic value.

Throughout its history, the hand-built Lagonda was one of the most expensive saloon cars in the world. The only other "production" cars to approach its lofty price tag were the Rolls Royce Silver Spirit/Silver Spur, Bentley Mulsanne, and Maserati Quattroporte.

A number of series were introduced, including a facelift in the 1980s which attempted to round off the car's jagged lines and removing the troublesome pop-up headlights, which had proved unreliable.

The Lagonda was the first production car in the world to use computer management and a digital instrument panel, although many original cars' computers are failure-prone. The second series of cars used cathode ray tubes for the instrumentation, this proved more unreliable than the original model's LED display.

The Lagonda's striking design and opulent, club-like leather interior, together with its then state-of-the-art instrumentation, contrasted starkly with its decidedly "old world" 4-cam V-8 carburetted engine and Chrysler 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission; the latter two combining to provide a dismal, often single-digit MPG rating." Salon Champagne - Luxury Liquor

"The House of Salon had its beginning in the late 19th century, when Eugène-Aimé Salon fulfilled his dream of creating "the perfect champagne". In his youth he had spent much of his time assisting his future brother-in-law, who was chef de caves in a small Champagne firm. But as a young man, he set out for Paris to seek his fortune, and there he attained wealth and respect in the glittering Parisian Belle Epoque. He was a man of great personal style and elegance, a "born gourmet", and a perfectionist.
At that time, Champagne was made primarily from a blend of 3/4 Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, 1/4 Chardonnay. Aimé Salon believed he could produce a Champagne of greater elegance and finesse by using only Chardonnay grapes, if they were from the right vineyards, carefully selected, pressed, fermented and aged.

Salons grapes all come from one cru, le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs region of France.

Aimé Salon purchased five hectares (approximately 12 acres) and entered into long-term contracts with other growers for additional grapes. He selecte vineyards from three distinct microclimates in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, which together gave the fruit, acid, sugar, perfumed nose, and excellent balance he sought. Salon today is made from the grapes of these same vineyards and in the same proportions determined by Monsieur Salon nearly a century ago.

The wines are kept in the cellars for a minimum of 8 years, gaining in complexity and finesse.

Salon was the first Blanc de Blancs Champagne. Salon uses only the cuvée or first pressing from hand-selected grapes to assure the highest acidity, aroma, finesse, ripeness and quality. Salon never puts its wine through malolactic fermentation, thus retaining the crispness, acid backbone and profound depth of flavor that are the hallmarks of Salon. This means, however, that eight to ten years of cellaring are required to harmonize the fruit and acid. Salon ages remarkably for 15-20 years or longer, developing increased complexity." wilsondaniels.com

Supermodel Kate Moss snogged British socialite Jemima Khan for a charity donation of 108,000 dollars.
The supermodel was due to kiss business tycoon Philip Green after he paid for the pleasure at a recent charity auction for the Hoping Foundation For Palestinian Refugee Children.

But Green declined to accept a passionate one-minute kiss from Moss in the presence of his wife Tina, so he handed the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to the person he outbid, Hugh Grant’s girlfriend Jemima Khan.

James Caan-The Man, The Myth, The Legend, The “Gangster”

Bronx-native James Caan, born March 26, 1940, has had a tumultuous personal and professional life, but has fought to remain at the top of the list of reputable actors and well–respected men. Caan, whose parents were Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany, played football for Michigan State University, achieved a black belt in karate and for several years was even a regular on the rodeo circuit, (where he was nicknamed "The Jewish Cowboy") before he persued his interest in acting.

After remarkable performances in several off-Broadway productions, El Dorado (starring John Wayne) and TV film Brian’s Song, Francis Ford Coppola took notice of Caan and casted him as gangster Santino "Sonny" Corleone in the The Godfather released in 1972. Caan received a Best Supporting Actor nomination and appeared in sequel The Godfather: Part II two years later, and has remained well-known as “Sonny” and mistaken as having an Italian heritage to his fans (he is of Jewish German decent).

In the early 1970’s Caan appeared in a multitude of films alongside some of the best actors of that time, Alan Arkin, Robert Duvall, Barbara Streisand, etc. and his popularity continued to grow. But soon after, several of his films such as Harry and Walter Go To New York and Comes a Horseman, flopped with fans and critics alike and Caan’s fast track to stardom came to an abrupt halt.

Caan turned to cocaine, and did not appear in any films for the better half of the early eighties. After suffering from depression over his sister’s death and trying to cope with his addiction to drugs, Caan took a chance at Hollywood once again in 1987 with the Francis Ford Coppola Vietnam War based film, Gardens of Stone.

Caan lifted his career and visibility with films in the late 80’s and early 90’s such as Dick Tracy, Misery Honeymoon in Vegas, Eraser, and Elf to name a few, and the demand for Caan from producers and audiences was again on the rise. In the 1990’s Caan finally kicked his cocaine addiction of 20 years and introduced himself to a new generation of fans through several successful film roles and his latest part on television’s hit series, Las Vegas. Caan is currently married to Linda Stokes, (his fourth marriage), and his career is on fire. He will one day be a legend, but for now, he is a great actor and will always be “Sonny - the guy you don’t want to mess with,” James Caan.

A few very James Caan quotes by James Caan:

“To get over my divorce, I got a prescription to live at the Playboy Mansion for a while.”

“I don't think silicone makes a girl good or bad.”

"What's the difference between sex and love? I have four wives and five kids. I apparently don't know the difference. "

"I always thought of myself as some sort of athlete until I started playing golf a couple years ago."

“I've never missed a day's work in my life, even through all the shit. But there were days when I was not on my best behavior.”

I'll see a beautiful girl walking up to me and I'll think, Oh, my God, I can't believe my good luck. But then she'll say, "Where's your son?" or "My mother loves you."

“There's nothing more boring than actors talking about acting. I never saw my dad cry. My son saw me cry. My dad never told me he loved me, and consequently I told Scott I loved him every other minute. The point is, I'll make less mistakes than my dad, my sons hopefully will make less mistakes than me, and their sons will make less mistakes than their dads. And one of these days, maybe we'll raise a perfect Caan.

Apple's Glass Cube

Did Apple just bring back the failed Power Mac G4 Cube?

According to AppleInsider, construction workers haven taken the cover off the 32-foot glass cube entranceway in front of Apple's new Midtown Manhattan flagship retail location. Inside the glass cube is a giant backlit Apple logo that appears to float in the middle of the structure.

The combination of the cube shape with the giant Apple logo immediately brings to mind the failed Apple Power Mac G4 Cube released in 2000. In July 2001, Apple posted this press release saying that production of the Power Mac Cube was being put "on ice", but the product was not being officially discontinued. Is this new glass structure Apple's way of bringing the Cube back to life?

There are thousands of glass cube images on flickr but Cult of Mac blogger Leander Kahney found a great aerial view on Boingboing.

Nelly Furtado- Minx of the Month

I have to admit, I was shocked to hear that the lovely Miss Nelly Furtado had just released a single called "Promiscuous

After her squeaky-clean success with her first album “Whoa! Nelly”, had the singer gone the sad way of pop-tarts everywhere and turned up the sex factor to increase sales on her second album? I did what every adoring fan should: braced myself and watched the video, expecting the worst.

I was pleasantly surprised. "Promiscuous"”, extracted from Nelly’s upcoming album, “Loose”, is much more jamming out than slutting itup. Nelly and a host of other lovelies cavort on a crowded dance floor, more or less fully clothed. Granted, there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of bump and grind when it’s backed up with some solid musical prowess, and Nelly offers up the perfect combination. Her fascinations with hip-hop and African beats are plainly evident, with a dash of Portuguese feistiness thrown in for good measure. There are even a few famous faces in the dancing crowd, including Timbaland and Justin Timberlake.

Considering Nelly’s background, it’s difficult to expect anything less than greatness. She was raised in Victoria, Brisitsh Columbia, by musical parents and could play the ukulele and sing by the tender age of four. Over the next fourteen years, Nelly added more instruments and several bands to her resume, experimenting with different styles. She sites Portishead, U2, Ice-T, and TLC as part of her long list of influences, and glories in using diverse ethnic influences, including that of her Portuguese heritage, to create her unique sound. These days, the sexy mother of one seems to be swinging single, though she is quoted as saying that she considered dating (male singer) Nelly.

To date, this sweet and sexy minx has collected quite a few high-profile compliments and accomplishments. Moby has called her one of the most beautiful and talented women in the world; Elton John is also a fan. Nelly was even selected to honor Aretha Franklin at a tribute concert for the musical mega-star. With talent, friends, and fame on her side, and a great new album slated for release on June 20th, Nelly Furtado is clearly on the rise as the minx with the most,"Promiscuous"” or not.
