The Karma Foundation

Their mission statement reads: "Where remarkable pay-it-forward people come together to expand their spheres of influence in sensational and elite social settings." Their last event benefited "Head to Hollywood", a charity founded by Carmen Electra for brain tumor survivors. With a variety of prestigious supporting sponsors The Karma Foundation and its alliances have been successful in growing their membership worldwide. They have been known to hold their members-only roundtables in elite hotels and events at high profile venues. Ladies and gentlemen, may we present The Karma Foundation.
We always knew that the sentiment of generating positive energy will only create more positive energy. The Karma Foundation has utilized this principle and applied it in many areas including big-pimpin' parties at the Playboy Mansion.
Eric Stotz, one of the founders of the Karma Foundation along with James Pratt began the foundation back in 2005 with the goal of helping good people with good friends find professional and social advancement through philanthropic events.
Along with mixers, and private pool parties which have been at wonderful locations like the W Hotel to events at such legendary venues, as the Playboy Mansion where their latest event Kandyland took place on June 3rd of this year.Kandyland, entertained over 1000 guests who enjoyed the event which complemented its universal theme with celebrity DJ's, body-painted ladies, and the requisite bunnies, and based on the member's response plans to be an annual Karma Foundation event.Up-and-coming events include a exclusive poker tournament slated for later this summer and a black tie gala in the winter; one can only imagine what they are planning in 2007.
In addition to tremendous parties, the foundation members also hold roundtable meetings to network and to discuss ways of benefiting worthy causes. Marvin Epstein, one of board of Governors of the Karma Foundation who is a board member on 5 charities himself exemplifies this initiative. The members prioritize philanthropic organizations that they believe may need support as more and more funds are diverted to natural disaster funds and the like. Members are generally successful, well-connected, good-hearted, and business-savvy. Their process to join the organization is by invitation from a founder or existing member. (For the
not-so-well-connected, one can also fill out an application and be considered for membership.)
What makes the Karma Foundation different from many other well-meaning social groups? While the foundation anticipates it will significantly grow its members in the next year, the founders believe that its invitation-only policy ensures like-minded members and an amiable tone that lends itself to truly efficient and effective networking. While many would assume that it is non-profit, Karma is actually an LLC (limited liability company) that gifts its members with networking and entertainment services. The Karma Foundation's first chapter sprung up in Los Angeles, and others are developing around the country in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Dallas, as well as in London and Australia internationally.
