If you’re still rockin’ Von Dutch hats and apparel, I hate to break it to you but there’s a new brand of motorcycle loving fashion in town, and its name is Ed Hardy. Ed Hardy has become famous for it’s signature vintage tattoo wear, which has been quickly snapped up by celebrities and non-celebs alike. At the helm of the company are two talented artists, both at the top of their game. Christian Audigier, who once worked for Von Dutch, brings the fashion design talents to the table, and Don Ed Hardy is the tattoo artist who brings the vision of the line together.


So what makes this clothing line different from others? Mainly their tattoo inspired designs, which they’ve made available on hats, shoes, jeans and clothing for men and women of all ages. Most notably, a type of shirt they invented, called a tattoo sleeve. The tattoo sleeve is a mesh sleeve attached to a t-shirt, which gives the wearer the illusion of having a multitude of multicolored tattoos covering his or her arms. So for those who have a fear of needles, or perhaps are a little bit commitment phobic, these shirts are the perfect solution.

The rest of their line features over 140+ graphics to choose from, including skulls, roses, animals and knives, and you can bet new designs are always popping up. Along with that, many of the designs also include slogans such as “love kills slowly”, “love dies hard“ and “death before dishonor”. Making it even harder to choose, the company also has it‘s clothing categories well covered. For those looking for a unique pair of shoes, Ed Hardy has seven different styles, including sneakers, decks, high tops and flip flops, and several designs and colors under each.

It’s impossible to deny that Ed Hardy is expanding at a rapid rate and quickly becoming a lifestyle brand. In addition to clothing, there’s also an Ed Hardy line of cosmetics, energy drinks, bottled water, and of course custom choppers.
