BROADWAY’S THE WEDDING SINGER ANNOUNCES CALL FOR
THE INTERNET’S FIRST 80’S VOCABULARY COMPILATION
NEW YORK, NY – The Broadway production of The Wedding Singer has announced a call for submissions to the Internet’s first true collaborative 80’s vocabulary compilation. Select submissions are posted online and voted on by website visitors to be used in national advertising initiatives along with placement in show merchandise.
Fans are requested to submit their original 80’s term, its definition, and its use in the form of a sentence. Sample words submitted in the first 24 hours of the campaign include:
Dolorian Daze
def: A term used when a girl doesn’t like a guy for who he is- just for his Dolorian.
Glen is such a loser. Julia is totally Dolorian Dazed.
Spuds
def: Hair patches on men's backs resembling the hair of Spuds MacKenzie
I don't know if its the speedos or the spuds, but i feel like vomiting.
Bogue
def: Completely unappealing, unsightly, off-putting or gross
Alice Cooper passed around a bowl at his concert, told everyone to snot and lugee in it and then he drank it. Bogue!
The campaign is expected to run through the month of May.
