"Professor Groove and DJ Static team up and break it down to the deep funk, underground hip-hop, and rare grooves on the weekly show WeFunkHistory of WEFUNKDJ Static and Professor Groove began broadcasting WEFUNK to Montreal in 1996 over the airwaves of CKUT (McGill University). We did about 18 months of late-night shows before WEFUNK settled into prime Friday night party hours — midnight to 2am — in January 1998. Early that year we began webcasting the shows. Since then we've been doin' our thing, building up the show and the site, searching out new grooves to make you move.
